Scilogex Laboratory Homogenizers are simple and easy to handle and have the ability to achieve quality results quickly. Our range has the speed and power to emulsify, suspend, cut and chop delivering accurate results with the flexibility to hold either by hand or mounted on a stand.

During operation, the suspended material is drawn into the core of the homogenizer by the rotor and repeatedly cycled through narrow slits in the stator where it is rapidly sheared and disintegrated by high shear mechanical action. Complete homogenization of tissues (muscle, liver, breast tissue, etc.) is usually achieved in a few seconds. Little, if any, heat is produced during the process.

The smooth motor drive provides safe and comfortable operation. An overload protection feature increases the life span of the motor. Smooth acceleration also prevents unnecessary spills.

The Scilogex D160 Homogenizer is ideal for small samples and can rapidly homogenize, disperse, and emulsify samples from 0.1 to 250ml solids or liquid media, depending on the generating probe. Perfect for processing of lysis animal cells.

The Scilogex D500 is ideal for mixing, emulsification, shredding, or chopping samples from 10ml to 5L. Not suitable for very viscous liquids or powders, 10,000 cps/mPa-s max. A flexible configuration of different generators and rotors make the D500 highly adaptive to most applications. Reliable results are assured with extremely high precision and speed.
