The peracetic acid test strip is used for testing residual levels of peracetic acid. Peracetic acid is another sanitizing agent, especially used in some segments of the food industry, such as organic produce and poultry.
The recommended strength of peracetic acid is typically 150 to 200ppm, however, this can vary by location. Check with your local health inspector to determine what ppm level you should be reaching.
Peracetic acid ultimately degrades to water, oxygen, and carbon dioxide, making it more environmentally friendly than chlorine. Note: Peroxide concentration levels in diluted samples up to 5% will not interfere with the test.
